“How is Italy?”: the paper about extreme event in Italy is avaible

The paper “How is Italy?“, realized by IFAB with the support of the CMCC Foundation and the Leithà Unipol Group, is now available for consultation. The publication is part of the E3CI (European Extreme Events Climate Index) project, created with the aim of studying and monitoring the impact of climate change at national and European level through the data collection on extreme weather events. In particular, this year the E3CI team worked on the publication of the report “How is Italy?“, in order to offer a careful and detailed analysis of the extreme events on the Italian territory in the September 2023 – August 2024 period. The aim is to provide a document that can be a valuable tool for analysing the meteorological impact on different geographical areas, but also on communities and productive sectors. The report also includes a section dedicated to the possible and valuable concrete applications of the E3CI Index in a dynamic context such as the current one, which could be useful for institutions and individuals to better manage the impact of these events. The paper is available in the website in the papers section: How is Italy?
