Emilia-Romagna and climate risks: the E3CI Index broadcast on TRC Bologna

In the new episode of Social Business Itineraries, ‘Assicurare il territorio: l’Emilia-Romagna alla prova dei rischi climatici‘, the Yunus Foundation interviewed Noemi Ambrosi (Data Scientist at IFAB) and other experts on the topic of extreme weather events. Emilia-Romagna has been hit hard by the effects of climate change in recent years, in particular by violent and sudden floods.

During the interview, Noemi Ambrosi explained how the E3CI Index works and how it can be a valuable tool for understanding extreme weather phenomena, raising awareness and, above all, supporting the development of strategies to mitigate the risks associated with climate change. Finally, she focused on Emilia-Romagna with an overview of March 2024: a period that exceeded the thresholds for both extreme temperatures and precipitation.
